¿Qué debemos hacer en relación a las autoridades en su posición? ¿Atrincherarnos en nuestra resistencia como en una torre de marfil? ¿O más bien intentar persuadir a las autoridades romanas? Yo no he tomado el camino de romper la comunicación con Roma.
What ought we to do in regard to the authorities in their position? To lock ourselves in our resistance as in a tower of ivory? Or rather to try to persuade the Roman authorities? I have not taken the course of breaking off communication with Rome.

Pedimos a la Santísima Virgen María que venga en nuestra ayuda y que sea portadora de un milagro extraordinario: que Roma nos dé la posibilidad de continuar expandiendo y defendiendo la Fe católica y hacer más numerosos nuestros seminarios, conventos, monasterios y familias católicas.
We ask the Holy Virgin Mary to come to our aid and to bring about an extraordinary miracle: that Rome may give us the possibility to continue to spread and defend the Catholic Faith and to make our seminaries, convents, monasteries and Catholic families more numerous.

Quiera la Iglesia retornar a la Tradición, pero a pasos cortos, porque es difícil hacerlo de golpe. No obstante, debe ser evidente que todo está en el proceso de regresar a la normalidad, a la Tradición y a las enseñanzas de siempre.
May the Church return to Tradition, but by little steps because it is difficult to do so all at once. Nevertheless, it must be evident that everything is in the process of turning towards normalcy, Tradition, and the teachings of all time.

El día en que Dios permita que la luz reemplace las tinieblas que ahora reinan sobre Roma, será el día en que la Tradición regrese. Ya no habrá problemas. Los obispos de la Fraternidad [San Pío X] pondrán confiadamente sus cargos episcopales en las manos del Papa y dirán: «Ahora viviremos como simples sacerdotes y, si usted lo quiere, úsenos».
The day when God will allow light to replace the darkness that now reigns over Rome, will be the day that Tradition will return. There will no longer be any problems. The bishops of the Society [of St. Pius X] will entrust their episcopal charges into the Pope’s hands and say: “Now we will live like simple priests, and, if you wish it, use us.”

Hay dos «Romas». Las dos «Romas», sin embargo, combaten entre ellas. Existe una profunda división entre ellas, estoy absolutamente cierto de ello. Debemos rezar mucho, porque el Papa está atrapado en el centro de un remolino y ya no está comandando. Es una situación muy grave. Algunas congregaciones ordenan una cosa, otras lo contrario. Estamos en una situación muy dolorosa.
There are two “Romes”. The two “Romes,” however, fight amongst themselves. There is a profound division among them, I am absolutely certain. We must pray very much, for the Pope is caught in the midst of a whirlwind, and he no longer is in command. It is a very grave situation. Some Congregations command one thing, others the contrary. We are in a very painful situation.

¿Por qué hay conexiones con Roma si no podemos comprendernos? Porque debemos esperar que podemos tener una influencia sobre Roma para ayudarla a regresar a sus sentidos y a la Fe que ella está obligada a defender. Nosotros le diríamos a ella: «¡Después del concilio ustedes viraron dejando el camino correcto! Regresen a la Tradición y verán que la Iglesia retomará su curso normal. Las vocaciones florecerán, los seminarios se fortalecerán y las congregaciones religiosas crecerán.»
Why have connections with Rome if we cannot understand each other? Because we ought to hope that we can have an effect on Rome to help her return to her senses and to the Faith she is obliged to defend. We would say to her: “After the Council you veered off the right path! Come back to Tradition, and you will see that the Church will resume her normal course. Vocations will blossom, the seminaries will flourish, and religious congregations will grow.”
