Just in case you’d think my new logo isn’t timely, here’s another series of photos from the «Twig» parish in the Linz diocese in Austria. The other Sunday,a liturgy of the word with communion – led by a woman, the «Pastoralassistentin» – took place. Kreuz.net has photos. I had photos from this carnival «thing» before, but those photos didn’t show the woman doing whatever she thinks she’s doing. While such services are not «illegal» per se, this looks very much like playing priest. In case you’re wondering, that’s inside the church.
Here photos from other Masses of that parish – emphasizing the «meal character». Of course, up the I-5 Cardinal Mahony has his Kool Aid pitchers, this is «just» the Austrian equivalent thereof. That diocese is, thanks to the former bishop in particular, chock-full with Call to Action types.
